DVD Replication Services

What is DVD Replication?

Replication is an injection molding process so where your data becomes part of each disc. A reflective layer is spun on each disc, which is then sealed with lacquer and finally printed with your artwork. Our presses are fully automated so once your disc mold is created and production lines are tooled, we can produce discs every few seconds. Replication is ideal for quantities greater than 1,000.

What are the different DVDs Available?

DVD Replication offers several different formats which include:

  • DVD-5: Up to 4.7 Gigs of Data on one side of a single layer DVD
  • DVD-9: Up to 8.5 Gigs of Data on a single sided, dual layer disc
  • DVD-10: Up to 9.4 Gigs of Data, with data on each single layer side and 4.7 gigs of each side
  • DVD-18: Up to 17 Gigs of Data, with dual layers of information on each side

What are the different printing methods available?

Marcan uses Offset Print for the production of all of its DVD Replication without charging extra! The old method of Silkscreen, which forces ink through small holes on a screen, is yesterday's technology with a "dot matrix" look on the disk as lots of small dots make up the larger picture.

Offset Printing uses the same process as a professional paper printer, which means you get fantastic quality. The surface is photo quality and smooth. Don't settle for anything less.

TIP: Add a varnish finish for the same look as a glossy magazine!
